A Trip of Adventure in
Indonesia can be start by enjoying the easy climb to Mt. Gede
(2,958 M ) where you trekking under the thick jungle of Gede
Pangrango National Park and view the steaming craters, spectacular
sunrise and the green landscape of West Java Province from the
summit. For the birdwatchers, this is the heaven as more than half
of Java's birds can be seen here. You can take photos as many as you
can to catch the wealth of the rain forest in its detail.
Overnight will be in
tents at Kandang Badak base camp before we climb up to the peak in
the early morning for the spectacular sunrise.
The trip to Gede
Pangrango can be also combined with a white water rafting trip
graded II – III+ on the river across the country side of West Java
and the green lush of Halimun National Park.
This trip is started
Cibodas, the gate to explore the park located only 3 hours from
Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.
En route to Cibodas,
we stop at a Botanical Gardens in Bogor, established by Sir
Stamford Raffles and developed by the Dutch with botanists from Kew
Gardens, the Kebun Raya occupy most of the centre of the town,
covering in all about 90 hectares. They have an international
reputation for their research into tropical crops.
Itinerary:
DAY 01: JAKARTA – CIPANAS
Upon arrival at Jakarta Airport,
drive to
Cipanas.
Overnight at hotel (D).
DAY 02: CIBODAS – TREKKING TO KANDANG BADAK CAMPSITE
Transfer to
Cibodas
Entry Gate
to start
trekking up the Mt. Gede passing
Colour Lake, Water Fall and Hot spring. Overnight in tents at
Kandang Badak base camp for aclimatization (B, L, D).
DAY 03: SUMMIT MT. PANGRANGO & MT. GEDE – SURYA KENCANA MEADOW
Early morning
proceed to
the summit of Mount Pangrango (3,100 M). descend down base camp for
breakfast. Continue to climb another peak: Mt. Gede (2,958 M) to see
the 3 semi-active craters.
Down to Surya Kencana Meadow for overnight (B, L, D)
DAY 04: GUNUNG PUTRI – SAFARI PARK – JAKARTA
Descend
to Gunung Putri Gate.
Drive back to Jakarta. Enroute stop
at Indonesia Safari Park, a free range zoo on the mountain slopes.
Overnight at a hotel in Jakarta
(B,
L).
DAY 05: JAKARTA
DEPARTURE
Transfer to
the airport for flight to your next destination (B).

Krakatau
Volcano Camp
Sail the Sunda Strait to observe the Krakatau, a tiny uninhabited
volcanic island situated in the Sunda strait, between Sumatera and
Java. Over a century ago, on August 26,1883, this volcano island, a
virtually unknown volcanic island with a history of violent volcanic
activity, exploded with devastating fury. The eruption was one of
the most catastrophic natural disasters in recorded history.
We
will overnight in tents in one the Krakatau Islands where you can
witness the remnants of the Krakatau big bang in 1883 and experience
the life like the Robison Crusoe family stranded on an uninhabited
tropical island and enjoy fishing, trekking, swimming and
snorkeling.
Krakatau Islands is accessible by 3 hours drive from Jakarta
International airport plus 3 hours sailing on a fishing vessels from
Labuan, a coastal town in the west edge of West Java Province.

Upon arrival by morning flight, drive to Labuan harbor town. Boating
to Sertung Island, opposite the Anak Krakatau Volcanic Island.
Snorkeling, fishing, swimming ore trekking along the shoreline.
Dinner over the campfire and overnights in tents (L,D).
DAY 02: ANAK KRAKATAU VOLCANO –
LABUAN – JAKARTA AIRPORT
Board on the boat to visit the Anak Krakatau. If possible we land
and hike up the volcanic island. Return to the base camp for lunch
and boating back to Labuan. Proceed to Jakarta Airport for your
afternoon/evening flight (B,L).

Free programs for snorkeling, fishing, swimming ore trekking along

DAY 03: SERTUNG ISLAND – LABUAN –
JAKARTA AIRPORT
After breakfast boating back to Labuan. Proceed to Jakarta Airport
for your flight to next destination (B).

Ujungkulon
National Park Adventure & Island Resort

A sea journey to the uninhabited and remote Peucang island which is
part of the Ujungkulon National Park. This island is a small but
very beautiful, unique and pleasant tropical island with a white
sandy beach, blue coastal waters and enchanting coral reefs where
you can see various species of wild animals in its forest such as
barking deer, along with other wild animals, like monkeys, monitor
lizards and wild boars.
Trekking along the long deserted beaches and through the airy
tropical forest on the mainland of the park to search for the
elusive Javan rhino, wild boar, iguana, deer, wild cattle (Bos
javanicus), green jungle fowl and peacock which usually grassing in
Cidaon Grazing Ground.
If time and sea weather permitted, we may sail to the fabled Anak
Krakatoa - the son of Krakatoa. Continuously rising from the sea, it
splutters smoke and in active periods, boulders and ash from its
core.
Itinerary:
DAY 01: JAKARTA – CARITA
Upon arrival at Jakarta Airport,
drive to
Carita Beach.
Overnight at bungalows
(D).
DAY 02: CARITA – PEUCANG ISLAND
Early morning
boating to
Peucang Island in
ujungkulon National Park. Arrive at Peucang Island resort, having
lunch. Afternoon
trekking to northern
part of the island to observe the local floras such as deer, monkeys
and birds and
enjoy the beautiful
sunset. Overnight athe
island resort (B,L,D).
DAY 03: UJUNGKULON TREKKING
Boating
to the main land of the
park for
trekking along the coast
line to
Ciramea and
Tanjung Layar light house
while observing the wildlife.
Return to
the island resort. Afternoon
proceed to Cidaon
feeding ground to see the wildlife.
Dinner and
overnight at Peucang Island Resort (B, L, D).
DAY 04: PEUCANG ISLAND – CARITA –
JAKARTA
Boating back to
Carita
and proceed drive to Jakarta. Overnight at a hotel in Jakarta
(B, L).
