DAY 01: JAKARTA AIRPORT - HOTEL
Upon arrival at Jakarta Int’l Aiport, you are met and transferred to your hotel in central of Jakarta, Hotel Cipta (2 star). Rest of the day is free own your leisure. There will be a pre-trip briefing this evening to meet our fellow and this often followed by a meal together.
DAY 02: JAKARTA CITY TOUR
A day tour around Jakarta’s to visit National Monument, the Beautiful Indonesia Miniatur Park and other sights (B).
DAY 03: JAKARTA – SEMARANG – PANGKALAN BUN
Early wake up! Take an early morning flight departure at 06.45am to to Semarang. Upon arrival at Semarang Airport at 07.30AM, connecting flight to Pangkalan Bun by Deraya departing at 08.30am. Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport you will be met by our local guide then direct drive to Kumai for 20 minutes. Onboard a traditional Klotok wooden river boat about 6m by 2m with a roof which forms the upper deck where you can view the rain forest as it glides by the guide's team includes the boatman, a cook and expert guide. Lunch is served on the way to Tanjung Harapan, a rehabilitation center for orphaned orangutans, 2 hours away from Kumai. Here the playful and friendly baby orangutans are taught the first stages in fending themselves in the jungle. In the peaceful afternoon you have chance to explore to quite river independently by a dugout canoe or by the klotok while observe the monkeys along the riverside. Dinner and overnight on the boat at the pier of Tanjung harapan. Thin mattress, pillow, fine meals, bottled "mineral" water, mosquito net, kitchen, simple toilet available on boat besides the familiar - helpful guides and boatmen (B,L,D).
DAY 04: TANJUNG PUTING NATIONAL PARK TOUR
After breakfast board the klotok to travel up river for about 2 hours boating and then up a side creek to Camp Leakey where the older orangutans are reintroduced into the rain forest. At Camp Leakey you will have opportunity to trek into the rain forest with your expert guide and the forestry rangers to appreciate the flora as well as perhaps sighting wild orangutans, gibbons, macaques, and birds. After trekking, cool with dip in the tea colored water, which is pure but stained with natural tannins. Lunch provided on boat. Afternoon visit the feeding station to see rehabilitated orangutans are given additional food then we will have an overnight on boat for a better opportunities seeing the animal activities in the evening and in the early morning (B,L,D).
DAY 05: TANJUNG PUTING NATIONAL PARK TOUR
After breakfast under the morning dew we make a second visit at Camp Leakey for a morning trekking to see the orangutans and other wildlife starting their activities. After lunch on boat, we boating down river through the park to Pondok Tanguy while enjoying monkeys, birds and other wildlife along the shady river bank. Pondok Tanguy is the newest established rehabilitation center for the new ex-captive orangutans. We will meet the orangutans and trekking for about 30 minutes to feeding station for the orangutan afternoon feeding time. Overnight at the pier of Pondok Tanguy (B,L,D).
DAY 06: TANJUNG PUTING PARK – PANGKALANBUN AIRPORT – SURABAYA – MAKASSAR – RANTEPAO
After breakfast return to Kumai and direct transfer to the airport for flight to Surabaya. From Surabaya, connecting flight to Makassar departing at 15.45. Upon arrival in Makassar, you will be met by our local guide and take a long drive journey by air-conditioned private car in approximately 08 hours to Tana Toraja, through the Bugis Villages with their typical houses on poles along the magnificent mountain passes. Lunch at local restaurant in Pare-Pare, a small port situated 155 kms north of Makassar. Late afternoon arrive in Toraja directly check-in at Madarana or similar, a non star accommodation in Rantepao for accommodation and dinner (B.D).
DAY 07: TORAJA TOUR
Breakfast at hotel then a full day excursion to Toraja Land by visiting the cliff-side stone graves with wooden effigies on the balcony at Lemo, the royal family tombs at Suaya, the baby grave in the huge tree at Kambira and enjoy the cultural performance at Sanggala with lunch served at local restaurant in town. Next visit to a natural cave at Londa before proceed to the traditional wooden carving village at Kete Kesu Village. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight (B,L,D).
DAY 08: TORAJA TOUR
Explore other interesting sites of Toraja Land. We visit Palawa, the most beautiful traditional village with buffalo horns in front off their houses. Sa’dan is famous for its cotton weaving. Next to the ancient megalithic stone at Bori and proceed to Sesean for a stunning view of large rice-field terrace at Batumonga, where we stop for lunch at local restaurant. Visit another boulder graves at Lokomata then a walk from Pana to Tikala through the rice-field and some village to observe more local people daily activities. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight (B,L,D).
DAY 09: TORAJA TOUR
After breakfast at hotel, we explore the highland freely and flexible to visit the places which are not visited yet to enjoy more of the unique cultures, beautiful landscape and the fresh and cool atmosphere of Toraja Highland. Lunch and dinner will be arranged at the hotel (B,L,D).
DAY 10: TORAJA – SENGKANG
After breakfast at hotel, leave Toraja and we drive you to Sengkang via Palopo with lunch enroute. Upon arrival at Sengkang, direct check in to Apada Hotel, a non star but the best hotel in town. Afterward, take a boat-trip on the lake Tempe to visit the floating-houses belong to the fishermen who live on the lake. You will observe the way of life of these people as well as those who live at the lakeside. Visit the silk weaving village in Sengkang then return to hotel for dinner and overnight (B,L,D).
DAY 11: SENGKANG – BIRA
After breakfast at hotel, continue our journey to Bira in about 4 hours drive. Upon arriva, check in to Bira Beach Hotel (or similar), rest of the day is free own your leisure to relax and enjoy your time on the beautiful white sandy beach or you can arrange yourselves for diving and snorkeling trips to the islands nearby (B,L,D).
DAY 12: BIRA – MAKASSAR AIRPORT
After breakfast at hotel, we drive back to Makassar Airport with en route stop at Tana Beru to watch the famous ‘Bugis Phinisi’ is made in traditional way. Upon arrival at the airport in Makassar in the evening, you will wait at the airport for your flight to Jayapura departure at 01.30AM (B,L,D).
DAY 13: MAKASSAR – JAYAPURA – WAMENA
Depart from Makassar Airport at 01.30 to Jayapura in Irian. Upon your arrival at Sentani Airport in Jayapura at 07.05AM, our guide will meet you for airport assistance of flight connection to Wamena. After 45 minutes flight, you arrived Wamena Airport where our local guide meets you and direct transfer to Sinatma Hotel, a pleasant accommodation in Wamena for your overnight stay. Rest of the day is free own your leisure to relax after a long flight on the previous night. You could also walk around the hotel to observe the surrounding area. Lunch & dinner at hotel or local restaurant (L,D).
DAY 14: BALIEM VALLEY TOUR
Morning after breakfast, we take an hour drive to Jiwika Village, visiting a saltwater-well where the Dani women make salt in their traditional way. Walk down in 50 minutes to Sumpaima Village to see the old mummy of Mabel's family. After lunch at local restaurant in Jiwika, we continue our journey Kontilola Cave that contains the bones of victims of past tribal war. Late afternoon drive back to Wamena with a stop at local market. Dinner and overnight at Hotel (B,L,D).
DAY 15: BALIEM VALLEY TOUR
After breakfast at hotel, heading to Aikima Village by 20 minutes drive. Continue by 1,5 hours walk to Suroba Village to enjoy the Traditional Dani's Pig Feast and Dance as well as to observe their way of life while lunch served in box. Late afternoon drive back to Wamena with a stop another traditional market at Wesaput. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight stay at hotel (B,L,D).
DAY 16: WAMENA – JAYAPURA
After breakfast at hotel, transfer airport for your flight to Jayapura. From Sentani Airport, we drive you to the capital Jayapura with en route stops and sightseeing for: Mc. Arthur Memorial Hill for a stunning view of beautiful Sentani Lake, State or University Museum, Hamadi Beach, Hamadi Market and Souvenir Shops then lunch at local restaurant. Check in at Sentani Indah hotel. Lunch and dinner at a local restaurant (B,L,D).
DAY 17: JAYAPURA AIRPORT – MAKASSAR – BALI
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Sentani airport for your flight departure at 08.00am to Makassar. Upon your arrival at Makassar Airport at 11.20AM, you will wait for about 4 hours before check in for the connecting flight to Bali departure at 17.00. Upon arrival at Denpasar Airport in Bali at 18.10, you will be met and transfer to Aneka Beach Hotel for your accommodation. Aneka Beach Hotel is a pleasant and centrally located, opposite the famous Kuta Beach. Rest of the day is free own your leisure.
DAY 18-19: BALI FREE PROGRAM
Free days in Bali. Tours are optional and on personal expenses. Lunch & dinner are excluded.
DAY 20: DENPASAR AIRPORT – JAKARTA – OUT
Day is free on your leisure. At the appropriate time, we transfer you to Denpasar Airport for your flight to Jakarta departure at 14.00. Arrive Jakarta at 14.40 and connecting with your flight back to Spain departure at 18.55. END OF SERVICE
